Initial findings revealed a single, continuous magnetic anomaly rather than the previously assumed bifurcated structure. Michael Garagan, Chief Geologist and Director of SAGA, underscores the importance of these new measurements, indicating that the magnetic readings are among the highest detected to date and suggest a substantial mineralized body.

Geophysical Analysis: Insights and Findings

The geophysical survey involved a tightly spaced grid of North-South oriented lines, meticulously mapped to delineate a distinct northwest trend of magnetic highs. This correlation with exposed oxide layering is crucial. Here are some key insights:

  • Enhanced Resolution: Magnetic responses in the Trapper Zone reached highs of 115,498 nT, significantly outperforming earlier readings from the Hawkeye zone.

SAGA’s recent excavations in the Trapper Zone confirm robust layering of vanadiferous titanomagnetite (VTM) over 504 square meters. Heavy-duty machinery has successfully exposed extensive sections of semi-massive to massive VTM deposits, supporting initial magnetic survey results. The inferring continuity between the Trapper and Hawkeye zones bolsters the potential for a significant, extendable mineralization system, with projections suggesting a 20 km long strike of oxide layering aligning both regions.

Located within 10 km of Cartwright, Labrador, the project benefits from readily available transport and energy resources, enhancing prospects for scaling exploration activities.
