MorganFranklin Cyber Appoints Dr. Jerome Farquharson as Managing Director to Lead Energy, Oil & Gas Sector
MorganFranklin Cyber has announced the appointment of Dr. Jerome Farquharson as Managing Director and Sector Lead for Energy, Oil & Gas. In this role, Dr. Farquharson will lead cybersecurity governance, regulatory compliance, executive advisory, and business development initiatives in the utilities market, projected to grow 15-20% annually to $110 billion by 2030. He will report to Ferdinand Hamada, Managing Director.

Dr. Farquharson brings more than 20 years of experience advising Fortune 500 companies and government agencies on cybersecurity, compliance, operational resilience, and risk management. He has served as virtual CISO for more than 20 organizations, developed and implemented security frameworks across IT and OT environments, and pioneered innovative models for OT/IT convergence adopted by major utilities. His leadership has consistently delivered business growth and transformative results, including building a consulting practice to over $12 million in annual revenue.

Previously, Dr. Farquharson served in leadership positions with 1898 & Co., the Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, and the Washington University School of Medicine. He also holds an extensive set of industry certifications, including CISSP, CRISC, CDPSE, CCP, and CCISO, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Washington University. He earned a Doctor of Ministry, Master of Counseling, Master of Science in Computer Science, and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics and Mass Communications.
