Commodities, Trump Policies and Uranium coiling
Good morning investors! As I continue to lay the foundation for 2025, discussing commodities and Trump 2.0 for you, I’ll be regularly providing thematic commentaries, my own Your Money Today podcasts and guest appearances on others’ platforms to give you as comprehensive and accurate a picture of our evolving world as possible.
For today’s purposes, I was happy to hear recently from InvestorIdeas.com’s Cali Van Zant, who I met last winter at Mines & Money. Having followed the above-oriented and other work of Yours Truly, I was happy to get her note recently asking me to share some of these same thoughts with their audience.
With such deep “long form” discussions having become ever more popular in recent times, we spend nearly an hour on a host of commodity, economic and public policy-related issues, which you can view/listen in to at:
YouTube (video) RIGHT HERE.
On Spotify (audio) RIGHT HERE.
Led by Cali’s questions, we covered a range of topics, such as :
–-> The battery metals/E.V. debacle in the markets: Resetting expectations, and becoming more focused investment-wise, especially on nickel, lithium and related stories.
–> The continued unfolding of what I have previously described as a World War 3 already underway over Commodities. Specifically, we cover the latest embargoes: Russia over enriched uranium, and China over rare earth products and antimony.
–> Why my present “faves” among commodities are uranium, natural gas and gold.
–> Cali and I spent a fair bit of time, too, on the necessity of better educating the public/investors on the importance of extractive industries generally and “reshoring” production to the U.S./North America particularly.
A lot of this will be based on the (mostly positive-sounding) policy, regulatory and other changes coming next year from The Trump Administration, led by his key point man, Doug Burgum.
I cover this subject…how investors can be encouraged to embrace these emerging actions, as well as the public generally…and how to properly and effectively represent commodity themes to generalist investors, making them–and worthwhile stories even among “junior” explorers and miners–credible.
All the best,
Chris Temple
