NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 11:00AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

TVS Motor Company(up 1.83 per cent), MRF(up 0.43 per cent), Eicher Motors(up 0.38 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.31 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki(up 0.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Sona BLW Precision Forgings(down 2.92 per cent), TIINDIA(down 1.3 per cent), Bosch(down 1.09 per cent), Escorts Kubota(down 0.58 per cent) and Bharat Forge(down 0.52 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was down 0.15 per cent at 13174.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 24.3 points at 17919.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 82.48 points at 60177.65.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
