NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 11:05AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Mindtree(up 0.81 per cent), Coforge(up 0.71 per cent) and L&T Technology(up 0.38 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Tata Consultancy(down 1.71 per cent), Tech Mahindra(down 1.37 per cent), Infosys(down 1.0 per cent), HCL Technologies(down 0.71 per cent) and Wipro(down 0.45 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty IT index was down 0.91 per cent at 27772.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 92.95 points at 17148.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 286.0 points at 57705.11.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.
