Jason Chesky’s Expertise in Real Estate and Finance Industries

Jason Chesky has led a notable career in the real estate and finance industries. As of 2024, Mr. Chesky is vice president and the chief financial officer of Logenix International. He manages the company’s international business and has been instrumental in its overseas success.  

About Mr. Chesky  

Mr. Chesky hails from over a decade of experience in the real estate and financial industries. He was initially drawn to real estate due to its dynamics. He was intrigued by the many moving parts of real estate, such as insurance, risk and money.  

The first step on his career path was his education. Mr. Chesky received an Associate of Science in business administration from Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). Afterward, Mr. Chesky served as a senior accountant for corporate real estate services at Long & Foster Real Estate from 2005 to 2013.  

In the aftermath of the 2008 Financial Crisis, Mr. Chesky believed that the real estate industry would slowly pick itself up from the ground and began to look for something faster-paced. He continued his academic journey to prepare for the shift in his career. Mr. Chesky received a Bachelor of Science in finance from George Mason University in Fairfax in 2013. After graduation, he joined Logenix International in Virginia.  

Mentorship and Teamwork 

Mr. Chesky openly attributes his success to the mentorship of Ron Cruse, the president and chief executive officer of Logenix International, who took him under his wing and passed on a wealth of knowledge. Mr. Chesky calls this learning experience an adventure, significantly impacting his personal and career development.  

One of the most valuable lessons Mr. Chesky has learned is the greatest strengths of a company is its leadership and employees. Just as he was mentored, he focuses on cultivating an atmosphere where his employees grow individually and professionally.   

Mr. Chesky advises the next generation in the industry to embrace the “work smart, not hard” motto because time is valuable. He encourages workers to have the motivation to go a step further and look at the bigger picture, deciding how they can make a positive impact to be more successful in their careers and benefit the company.  

Mr. Chesky has been honored for his leadership, with placement in the Top 100 People of Finance in 2019 and he received the Virginia Business CFO Award in 2023. After implementing his cultivation of leadership and integrity to the employees, Logenix was recognized as Virginia Business Best Places to Work in 2024. In Mr. Chesky’s opinion, the key to his success is that he understands how to effectively use his extensive network. He is a decision-maker who relies on the experts to make an informed decision.  

“What makes me one of the best leaders here is that I am not afraid to get involved in granular activities just to better understand the full picture,” Mr. Chesky says. 

Giving Back to the Community 

As Mr. Chesky continues to expand the success of Logenix International and take it to the next level, he also has an eye on the younger generations for whom he hopes to give back.  

“I have an endowment with my alma mater,” Mr. Chesky explains. “The cost of education has gone up and forcing most of the people having to work and go to school.” 

According to Mr. Chesky, he hopes he can help many students succeed by becoming a better and brighter candidate for the future without the full financial burden. After the financial crash in 2008, he observed how people can make great things happen if they work together and that is his intention.
